Oppo is reportedly working on a series of Find X8 smartphones for the Chinese market. The Find X8 and X8 Pro may debut in October. The Find X8 Ultra, on the other hand, may appear in the first quarter of 2025. Details about the Find X8 series are gradually leaking out from rumors. Today, Oppo Find product manager Zhou Yibao posted a video on Weibo in which he said that he spoke with the product manager and development engineer of the Find X8 Ultra to get answers to many of the interesting questions he asked.
First details about Oppo Find X8 Ultra
Design engineers have revealed that the Find X8 Ultra will be thinner than the Find X7 Ultra, which is 9.5mm thick. In addition, the protrusion of the camera module will be smaller compared to the Find X7 Ultra.
The battery capacity will be larger than that of the Find X7 Ultra at 5,000 mAh, although it will likely be less than 6,000 mAh. Additionally, the Find X8 series will have an IP68 rating and a pure glass body, likely with AG frosted glass for a premium texture and feel.

According to other reports, Oppo Find X8 Ultra will feature an OLED panel with micro curvature on all four sides. It is expected to have a 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-based phone is expected to support two-way satellite communications.
On the back of the Find X8 Ultra will be a quad camera setup consisting of four 50-megapixel cameras. Like its predecessor, the X8 Ultra will continue to feature dual periscope cameras. The IMX858 camera from the previous model may not be available on the X8 Ultra.
