A suspected sweet thief has been arrested after allegedly returning to smash a shop window with a brick. Officers located and detained a man after a disturbance at a service station in Boxley Road, Maidstone. Police were called to the premises at 2.50pm last Thursday (June 20). It is reported a person had stolen items, which included sweets. After being challenged by staff and leaving, they reportedly returned a short time later and damaged a door window with a brick.
