AMD has announced a slight delay in the launch of its long-awaited Ryzen 9000 series processors. This decision was made after the company discovered an unspecified quality issue during the inspection of finished products.

Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X will be available on August 8

In its statement, AMD emphasizes its commitment to providing a high-quality experience for all Ryzen users. The company has taken a cautious approach, working with channel partners to replace the initially produced processors with devices that meet their strict quality standards. The revised launch schedule includes a phased release. The Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X processors will now be available on August 8, while the higher-performance Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X will be available on August 15.

Although AMD did not disclose details regarding the quality issues, it assured consumers that additional verification measures have been implemented for the upcoming Ryzen 9000 processors. This launch delay seems to be mostly aimed at quality control.
