A Philadelphia man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to charges he recruited and physically threatened women to engage in prostitution, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced Friday. Mallie M. Evans, 37, previously pleaded guilty to one count of transporting someone in interstate commerce with the intent to engage prostitution.
