The Rivers State Police Command, on Thursday said some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have killed one of its officers, Sunday Baba. The Command posted a brief statement on its X handle on Thursday, saying that Mr Baba, a police inspector, who served at Rumuolumeni area of the state, lost his life on duty on Wednesday. “It’s sad that being a police officer means leaving home in good health, never certain of your return,” the Command said without providing details of how the operative was killed.
