Italian left-wing activist Ilaria Salis, accused of assault in Hungary, has been released from prison after 15 months and placed under house arrest to be monitored by an electronic ankle tag, several Hungarian media outlets reported on Friday. Salis had already travelled to the court hearing on Friday in Budapest on her own by taxi and had not been presented by prison officers as before.
