A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison after escaping from a Halfway House. Michael A. Crider, 44, Jacksonville, entered a guilty plea on January 3, 2024. According to court documents, in 2018, Crider was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 6 years and eight months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. In January 2023, while Crider was completing his sentence, the Bureau of Prisons transferred him into the custody of Bridges Federal Reintegration Centers–Jacksonville, a residential re-entry center or halfway house.
