After another remarkable run through the NCAA Tournament, NC State senior Amelia Rajecki’s season came to a close in the semifinals. The nation’s No. 2 player lost 4-6, 5-7 to Georgia’s Anastasiia Lopata, the No. 70 individual in the country, Friday afternoon. Rajecki cruised through the singles bracket, beating Michigan’sJulia Fliegner 6-0, 6-2 in the opening round before taking down Texas’ Malaika Rapoulu 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the round of 32. Rajecki also beat Ohio State’s Irina Siemer Cantos 7-6 (5), 6-2 before getting past Georgia’s Dasha Vidmanova, the No. 16 player in the country, 6-3, 7-5. …
