Residents have been reacting to news that a former town centre pub is now up for auction. The former J D Wetherspoon pub, The Sir John Arderne, in Newark Market Place closed in August 2023 and will be sold through SDL Property Auctions today. The Grade II listed building is set to go under the hammer at 9am this morning (September 26) as part of a live streamed sale, featuring 240 other properties and plots of land.
