An Indian restaurant showcased a bit of culture to school kids in the area. Downham Tandoori had a visit from children in Year Three at Nelson Academy for an India Day at the restaurant on Monday. As part of the day, the restaurant had two musicians – Yousuf Ali Kahn, who played the Tabla, and Johnathan Mayer, who played the Sitar – as well as Senjuti Sen, who performed some Indian dances and taught the children a story about the Indian King and Queen through dance.
