A care home resident who has been knitting teddy bears for children in hospital had her dreams come true when she got to drop off her latest batch of bears for herself. Avice, a resident at Hickathrift House Care Home in Marshland St James, knits the cuddly toys for children staying at King’s Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She has always wanted to take a trip to the hospital to drop the teddies off for herself, so the staff at the home made her dream become a reality.
