HOOVER, Ala. — Tennessee baseball held on for a 6-4 win over Vanderbilt Saturday night in the semifinal round of the 2024 Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament. Right-handed hurler Marcus Phillips was a huge reason why. The junior college transfer entered the game in the seventh inning with Tennessee leading 6-2, taking over for starter Zander Sechrist who earned the win after tossing six innings of two-run baseball.
