There was an explosion in the centre of the Iranian capital Tehran on Saturday morning, eyewitnesses and Iranian media reported. It was unclear what the target was. The explosion came after Israel initially reported that it had launched “precise strikes” on Iranian military targets, in response to Iran’s firing of more than 180 missiles at Israel on October 1. Initial casualty figures or reports of damage were not immediately available.
