The Eastern Pacific is currently facing the threat of two active tropical cyclones: Hurricane Gilma and Tropical Storm Hector. Hurricane Gilma, currently packing maximum sustained winds of 100 kt and gusts up to 120 kt, is moving west at 9 kt. A Hurricane Warning is in effect for areas near the storm, where dangerous seas of 12 ft or greater are expected, with some areas potentially experiencing seas up to 37 ft.
