A 12-year-old child died in the hospital Saturday after being found unresponsive in a Bergen County home, authorities said. First responders were called to a residence on Maple Street in Fort Lee around 3:34 p.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The child was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead, Musella said. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Fort Lee Police Department are conducting a death investigation. No other information was immediately released.
