Lloyds Banking Group is set to close 123 branches across the UK in 2024 in a blow to Britain’s high streets. The group, which includes Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland is moving away from in-person services to online banking through the bank branch closures. Yesterday, Lloyds Banking Group confirmed it was setto axe 1,600 jobs across its branch network as part of the transition.
