Tokyo shares rose Friday morning, paring earlier losses as some investors looked for oversold stocks a day after the Nikkei index posted its biggest point fall in eight years. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 188.10 points, or 0.50 percent, from Thursday to 38,057.61, after losing more than 200 points at one stage. The broader Topix index was up 15.69 points, or 0.58 percent, at 2,725.55.
