ANN ARBOR – The Michigan Wolverines closed out their two-game exhibition slate this season with a 96-92 win over the Toledo Rockets on Friday night. The game was the Crisler Center debut of head coach Dusty May and his new-look squad, which featured plenty of fireworks and some up-and-down play on both ends of the floor. Michigan was led in scoring by junior forward Roddy Gayle Jr. and freshman guard L.J. Cason, each of them putting up 20 points in the victory.
