The West Ham United fans will be scratching their heads today, after Julen Lopetegui came out with a truly mind-boggling statement about our defeat to Liverpool. The 5-1 score-line may well have flattered Liverpool in the end, but don’t be fooled – West Ham just weren’t good enough as a whole in the Carabao Cup third round tie.
