Newbury and Thatcham Hockey Club enjoyed another excellent weekend, with big wins for the women’s firsts and men’s thirds. The ladies ended a run of eight straight defeats with a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over Amersham & Chalfont II that moves them off the foot of the South Central Women’s Division 1 North table.
