Manchester United waved a sad goodbye to defender Raphael Varane at the end of last season. Looking back, Raphael Varane handled it very well. He cut out any uncertainty ahead of the FA Cup Final, announcing his imminent departure. This meant his final home game at Old Trafford and the final itself could turn into a celebratory goodbye, with everybody knowing where they stood.
