A long-standing HGV garage has had plans to build its own MoT test workshop approved by Mid Suffolk Council. The plans put forward by A L Engineering and Sons, in Hall Lane, Yaxley, will see a pond on the site filled and a 12mx18m purpose built unit constructed. The planning application from the business, which has been going for more than 20 years, said it previously had been taking vehicles to another site for MoTs. The new workshop is expected to see between 20 to 25 vehicles use it on a daily basis and two new jobs would be created.
