Inflation in two of the three strongest economies of the Eurozone hit a three-year low in September, under 2%, raising hopes that the European Central Bank (ECB) is going to continue cutting rates in October. The EU-harmonised annual inflation rate in France fell to 1.5% in September, the lowest rate since July 2021 and down from 2.2%, according to the flash estimate from the French statistics office INSEE.
