Seven-time dressage Olympic dressage champion Isabell Werth briefly left the German team for the Paris Games in the wake of the death of her father. Team chief Klaus Roeser told dpa that Werth left on Thursday to attend the funeral earlier on Friday, after which she travelled to Versailles where the equestrian events are held. The other team members arrived earlier Friday and held a first training session. The dressage events start on Tuesday.
