A group of students at Cambourne Village College suffered sickness and diarrhoea during and following a trip away. The school said it was aware of 15 students who had been affected by what it believed was a stomach bug after the four-day trip at Beaumanor Hall near the town of Loughborough in Leicestershire, where they took part in activities including canoeing and high ropes. The Cambridge Independent is aware that at least one pupil was taken to hospital after returning due to the severity of the symptoms.
