A Newark election candidate has pulled out of open campaign events over fears for her personal safety. In a statement made by Saj Ahmad, Labour’s candidate for Newark, she says that threats had been made to her personal safety, which have been reported to the police, and steps are now being taken to protect herself, her team and volunteers.
