A man has died after an “accidental” house fire. Firefighters were called to a home in Robins Close, Lenham, near Maidstone, just before midday yesterday. Three fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. A spokesman for the service confirmed one man died at the scene and crews left just after 3am this morning. An investigation into the incident is underway, however the cause is believed to be accidental.
