Tokyo stocks were mixed Tuesday morning as tech issues tracked overnight declines by their U.S. counterparts, but falls were limited across the board due partly to a pause in the yen’s appreciation against other currencies. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 54.60 points, or 0.14 percent, from Monday to 38,055.62. The broader Topix index was up 8.43 points, or 0.32 percent, at 2,669.84.
