Earlier this month, a new Poco phone appeared in the IMEI database. The device with the number 2412DPC0AG is rumored to be the new Poco F7.

We were skeptical about this listing at first, as the Poco F6 series was released only three months ago in May. So we expected the successor, the Poco F7 series, to hit the market around the same time next year, probably in Q2 2025.

But it looks like Poco is accelerating the F-series release cycle this year. After registering the IMEI, the alleged Poco F7 received an EEC certificate with the same model number.

Although the certification does not contain specific information about the phone’s hardware or features, it increases the likelihood that the Poco F7 could hit the market earlier than expected.

Looking at past examples, the Poco F6 received EEC certification in January of this year and was officially launched in May. If Poco follows a similar strategy with the Poco F7, we could see the new series debut in December.

Perhaps the phone’s model number “2412” already hints at this schedule – “24” for the year and “12” for the month. However, it is important to note that this is still just speculation and Poco has not confirmed any of this.

Despite this, the Poco F7 is expected to be a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 for the global market. The F7 Pro, on the other hand, could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K80.

The Redmi K80 series is rumored to launch in China in November this year, so a December release of the Poco F7 series is still quite possible. It’s just that Xiaomi usually takes some time to introduce its exclusive phones to the global market. Although we expected this trend to continue, this year it seems that the company’s strategy has changed. We will keep you posted on any news about the Poco F7 series.
