A stretch of the M20 is shut after a car crashed into the central reservation barrier. Motorists heading London-bound on the motorway between Junction 6 for the A229 in Maidstone and Junction 5 for Aylesford are affected. Those travelling on the route at around 5.30am faced delays while the emergency services worked at the scene, where a damaged car could be seen. Congestion is currently backing up to Junction 7 for Detling Hill as a result. A detour is in place where drivers must use the feeder link road running parallel.
