At the first national party conference of Germany’s new party, the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW), the eponymous chairwoman called on her fellow campaigners to pull together and embrace their differences. The party members are very diverse, Wagenknecht said in Berlin on Saturday. They include trade unionists, entrepreneurs, nurses, police officers, theologians, city dwellers and villagers.
