At least three people were killed as an apartment building collapsed in the northern Spanish city of Santander on Saturday. Eight people were taken to hospital with injuries, emergency services in the region of Cantabria reported. The collapse reportedly came after an explosion, which caused a fire that was subsequently extinguished. However, emergency services continued to search for victims in the rubble into the afternoon.
