A New Jersey State Police trooper has admitted he punched a handcuffed woman in the face as she sat in in the back of a law enforcement vehicle in Cumberland County in 2022 in a plea deal that calls for him to serve up to a year in a county jail. Nicolas J. Hogan, 28, of Gibbstown, pleaded guilty Thursday to third-degree aggravated assault, the state Office of the Attorney General said.
