A court in Istanbul on Monday upheld a suspended prison sentence of one year and eight months against Deutsche Welle (DW) journalist Bülent Mumay. DW – Germany’s state-owned international broadcaster – and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), for which Mumay also worked, said the reporter’s appeal was denied. DW is reportedly set to take the case to the Turkish constitutional court.
