US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Tuesday on what is the first such visit in eight years. The two met on the first day of Sullivan’s visit to China, China’s state television reported. This is the fifth meeting between the two. Sullivan intends to stay in the People’s Republic until Thursday. Sullivan was welcomed at Beijing Airport by representatives of the Chinese Foreign Ministry and US Ambassador Nicholas Burns.
