Six former states of Yugoslavia have agreed to renovate a block at the former Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz in Poland and set it up as a memorial site, UNESCO has announced. In light of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27 and after 14 years of negotiations, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro want to organize an exhibition on the deportation and murder of Jews and other victims from their region during the Nazi era.
