Realme recently launched the Realme GT Neo 6 SE and GT Neo 6 smartphones in China. These devices are powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipsets, respectively. Now a new leak, courtesy of a Digital Chat Station informant, has revealed key details about the next Realme phones to hit the Chinese market.
Alleged key details of Realme 13 Pro+, GT 6
According to DCS, the next devices from Realme will be the numbered series and the numbered GT series. The former will be a mid-range model with a new 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The latter, part of the flagship lineup, is testing several variants of flat and micro-curved screens, and will be equipped with the latest generation battery with a high-density silicon anode and a 100W fast charging function.
The Realme 12 Pro+, released earlier this year, debuted as the company’s first mid-range phone to feature a periscope telephoto camera. Thus, it seems that the leak may hint at the arrival of the Realme 13 Pro+ and 13 Pro. There is a possibility that the 13 Pro series could be revealed in China this June.
The flagship offering that the source is talking about seems to be the Realme GT 6, which may appear in July this year. The device is likely to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The GT 6 is expected to face competition from other SD8G3 phones such as the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro and iQOO Neo 9s, which are expected to debut around the same time in China. It is also expected to face competition from the Dimensity 9300+ processor-powered Redmi K70 Ultra, which is also expected to launch in July.
The leak also mentioned that the Realme GT 6 Pro will be one of the first phones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. It is expected to hit the market by the end of this year.
