A woman in her 60s has suffered serious injuries following a collision between a car and a bicycle. It happened on A134 southbound in Sudbury, at the junction with Newmans Green, at around 4.20pm yesterday. The car was a black Volkswagen Polo and the cyclist was airlifted to to hospital where she remains with her injuries now described as critical but stable. The road was closed yesterday following the incident.
