On Wednesday, June 26, an intergovernmental conference between Montenegro and the European Union took place, paving the way for the conclusion of negotiations on the country’s accession to the bloc, according to the President of the European Council Charles Michel. “Congratulations to Montenegro for a landmark Intergovernmental Conference today. Important step forward that paves the way towards closing of chapters in the accession talks with the EU,” said Charles Michel. The President of the European Council also added that he would visit Montenegro next week.
