The Parliament of Hungary has elected the head of the Constitutional Court, Tamás Sulyok, as the country’s new president. He is a member of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s party, Fidesz, according to Telex. 134 Hungarian deputies voted “for” Shulyok’s appointment as president, and five voted “against.” There were no abstentions.
