Samsung still has a long way to go before the Galaxy S25 series is unveiled. We’re currently waiting for the Galaxy foldable, but rumors about the Galaxy S25 series have already started to surface. A recent leak revealed the specifications of the Galaxy S25 Ultra camera.
According to a reputable source at Ice Universe, the S25 Ultra will retain the four-camera system from its predecessors, but will receive two key updates.
The leak says the phone will have a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP super telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. This means improvements to the ultra-wide-angle lens and one of the telephoto lenses.
For comparison, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The main and super telephoto lenses remain the same with a resolution of 200 megapixels and 50 megapixels.
Previous rumors have suggested that Samsung might release the S25 Ultra with only three cameras. Although this information came from a less reliable source, Ice Universe has a solid track record of leaking details about upcoming Samsung phones. Therefore, we can be sure that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will keep four cameras.
Although the whistleblower didn’t mention it, the S25 Ultra is also rumored to use a new 200-megapixel sensor measuring about 1 inch. If this is true, the S25 Ultra will receive a significant hardware upgrade in camera capabilities.
We also expect the S25 Ultra to feature a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor and One UI 7 based on Android 15, although design changes may be minimal.
