At least 15 people have been killed in an airstrike on Iranian and pro-Iranian militia targets in eastern Syria early on Tuesday, according to a war monitor. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said among the killed was an Iranian advisor, serving as a colonel in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps militia. The war monitor said the colonel, who was not named, was responsible for a targeted communications centre in Deir al-Zour.
