A gym chain has unveiled plans for a new club and spa creating up to 100 jobs. David Lloyd Leisure has eyed land opposite Sainsbury’s at Altria Park in Herne Bay. The fitness and wellness giant hopes to secure planning permission for the project later this year. A new “state of the art” gym will be included if plans go ahead, as well as heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There will also be group exercise studios, indoor soft play, a kids’ club, tennis, padel, pickleball, badminton and a spa retreat and garden for premium members.
