A Plainfield firefighter died while fighting a house fire in the city on Friday morning, a city councilman said. Marques Hudson died sometime after firefighters were called to a fire on Emerson Avenue, Councilman Robert J. Graham said. “This young man sacrificed his life to save the lives of others,” Graham said on Facebook Live. “This is a tragic loss, this is terrible.
