A Sawbridgeworth-based surgeon has received an Honorary Fellowship from Cardiff University for his voluntary work helping to bring life-changing surgical care to women, men and children across sub-Saharan Africa. Leo Cheng is a head and neck surgeon at The Rivers Hospital in High Wych Road, but has used his annual leave to serve on board the Anastasis, the Africa Mercy and Global Mercyonce or twice a year since 2004.
