In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature we look back at when students organised a hoedown and raised hundreds for charity… These teenagers who had brought a taste of the American west to Downham presented the proceeds to Norfolk Hospice in June 2014. The Year 13 students from Downham Academy organised a hoedown in March as part of their A-Level travel and tourism group, and a total of 120 people enjoyed country music, burgers and line dancing at the event.
