Calls have been made to take action along a town road after several incidents involving buses being unable to pass parked cars. Downham town councillor Valerie Leivers told the authority’s full meeting last week that she has received two reports of buses trying to drive down Trafalgar Road, but being blocked by vehicles left along the street. The driver reportedly had to phone the police before taking a detour, forcing them to miss out a number of stops, with nearby residents being asked to move their cars.
