Everton have enjoyed a fresh twist in their takeover saga, late on in the month. It was well-documented that 777 Partners’ last chance to stump up the necessary funds to buy the Toffees was nearing, and yet if anything we have never seen so little from them. There were no appearances at Goodison Park to try and put on a strong facade, nor was there another desperate and large cash injection to try and make the club more reliant on their services.
