It is fairly common for Labour supporters in Britain to favour the Democrats in the USA and for the Tories to lean into the Republicans. For sure, some of the more patriarchal, wet Tories have a visceral dislike for Donal Trump but – by and large – the Conservatives here are the sister party of the GOP and Labour of the Democrats.
