The Social Democrats emerged as the strongest political force in Lithuania’s second round of parliamentary elections, the electoral commission in Vilnius announced late on Sunday with votes from almost all voting districts counted. With 52 of the 141 seats in the Seimas, or parliament, the opposition party stands on the verge of reshaping Lithuania’s government.
